Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Christine Boyle, recently visited northern British Columbia, from March 24th to 27th, stopping in Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek, Iskut, and Red Chris. The visit focused on engaging with local First Nations to discuss key issues such as economic development, affordable housing, and healthcare access. Minister Boyle emphasized the importance of face-to-face conversations and partnerships with Indigenous communities to create tangible improvements that benefit all regions of the province. Her discussions also touched on strategies to support communities amid challenges like international trade disputes. Boyle spoke with CFNR News and shared her appreciation for the warm welcome she received and expressed her commitment to continuing the work of strengthening
relationships and reconciliation.
