The City of Prince Rupert and Northern Savings Credit Union are teaming up to get residents moving with a program called Unplug and Play.
The credit union has pledged $5,000 annually for the next three years to support a week of free activities, starting during Family Literacy Week.
From Monday January 20th to Sunday January 26th , residents will have free access to all drop-in recreation programs at the auditorium and gymnasium.
The “Unplug and Play” initiative offers over 30 activities, including community events at the library, spin classes, juggling, swordplay, skating, dance, and yoga — all aimed at promoting physical activity.
Families and individuals are encouraged to join in.
A full list of activities can be found on the Northern Savings and City of Prince Rupert websites.
