Multiple wildfires of note in the Peace Region are prompting evacuation alerts and orders from the BC Wildfire Service.
Having grown to 43,270 hectares, the Donnie Creek wildfire is the largest of those and is prompting an evacuation order and a smaller alert for an area north of Sekani Chief Canyon Park to the Northern Rockies boundary.
South of there, and just north of Fort St John, the Stoddart Creek fire has grown to 23,500 hectares while the Red Creek fire has shrunk slightly to 2,947 hectares.
Combined, they are leading to a number of evacuation orders and alerts in Fort St John, Charlie Lake, Rose Prairie, Montney, North Pine, and more.
Now at 6,171 hectares, the Boundary Lake fire has an alert in place between Cecil Lake and the Alberta border as well.
West of those the Cameron River wildfire has grown to 352 hectares and is expected to keep doing so due to strong winds from the north making it a fire of note and prompting an alert and order.
