Students and staff at Columneetza Junior Secondary School in Williams Lake have returned to class after a morning scare.
A fire had sparked in the cafeteria building early this morning, prompting a precautionary evacuation of the school’s main building.
But, crews from the Williams Lake Fire Department were able to quickly contain the flames to the cafeteria.
All services to the main building have now been isolated, and students and staff have been given the all clear to resume classes.
Regular transportation services will resume at the end of the day, as per their usual schedules.
