In an effort to preserve water for drinking and fires as the blazing weather hits, the City of Quesnel is set to introduce new water-use restrictions.
Beginning next Monday, homeowners will only be able to sprinkle or irrigate their lawns on days which align with their address.
For example, only addresses with even unit numbers will be able to do so on even numbered days, and vice versa for odd numbered addresses.
In addition, all owners will only be able to sprinkle or irrigate their properties between 6:00 and 10:00 in the morning, and 7:00 and 11:00 at night.
Restrictions will be in place for all properties within City limits through September 30th.
