A number of advisories remain in place as winter snowpacks continue to melt, prompting river levels to rise across the Province.
BC’s River Forecast Centre is maintaining a high streamflow advisory for the Bulkley River and tributaries near Terrace, Smithers, Telkwa, Kispiox, and the Hazeltons.
All areas near rivers, tributaries, and streams in the Peace Region are also covered under a high streamflow advisory.
More high streamflow advisories are also in place for the Fraser River near Quesnel and Prince George, and the Nazko and West Road Rivers.
Flood watches which had been in place for the Cottonwood and San Jose Rivers, and Baker Creek near Quesnel and Williams Lake have been downgraded to a high streamflow advisory.
But, a flood watch remains in place for areas around the Quesnel and Little Swift Rivers, east of Quesnel.
Flows in the Bulkley and Skeena Rivers are near seasonal norms at the moment, but may spike over the weekend.
