During this period, individuals experiencing life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or severe bleeding should call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest hospital. For non-urgent health concerns, people can contact the Northern Health Virtual Primary & Community Care Clinic, available daily from 10 am to 10 pm, or access the First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day program for Indigenous residents. HealthLink BC is also available 24/7 at 8-1-1 for non-emergency advice. Signage will be posted at the hospital, and local health services have been notified of the service interruption. The community is urged to be patient and understanding during this time.
