Singh highlighted the NDP’s recent successes, including the expansion of Medicare and securing dental care for millions. To prevent the U.S.-style privatization, the NDP’s plan includes banning American corporations from buying Canadian health facilities, strengthening the Canada Health Act, and blocking trade deals that threaten public health care. Singh also promised to ensure provinces like Alberta follow the Canada Health Act. “Health care is a promise, not a business deal,” he stated, vowing to fight corporate greed and protect Canadians’ care.
