Firefighters from Burns Lake and Houston are in California to assist with the devastating wildfires sweeping the state.
The team, part of a BC Wildfire Service contingent, includes two supervisors from the Nadina Fire Zone and two from the Northwest Fire Centre.
Senior BCWS management arrived in Los Angeles on January 11 to begin work on planning, logistics, operations, aviation, weather monitoring, and communications.
Earlier this week, 22 additional BCWS crew members, including the supervisors from Burns Lake and Houston, traveled to L.A. to support firefighting efforts.
They arrived on January 16 and are expected to join the fire line later this week.
