The 2025 property assessments have ben released for Kitimat and Terrace the assessments reflect market values as of July 1st 2024, with typical changes in property values varying across the communities. In Kitimat the typical value for single-family homes has remained stable, with only slight decrease of 3 pre cent from $270,000 in 2024 to $261,000 in 2025.
Terrace also experienced a significant rise in property values, with single-family homes increasing by 8 pre cent from $448,000 in 2024 to 484,000 this year.
For all property owners in Kitimat and Terrace assessments details are available on BC Assessments website, and those who believe their assessments do not reflect market value can appeal by January 31st 2025.
