Hundreds of former BC Liberals gathered in Surrey last night to usher in the party’s new name, branding, and direction as BC United.
Party members came together in November to vote on the new name, with roughly 80 percent voting in favour of the change.
Leader Kevin Falcon says the name United represents the party’s intent to bring British Columbians together, instead of dividing them for political gain.
He says his party aims to end the NDP’s overspending, build a prosperous economy, and fight on-going crises in health care, housing, and more.
Their new logo displays a stylized bridge, intended to represent residents coming together from all walks of life to improve lives in BC.
