BC Highway Patrol officers in the Cariboo handed out numerous infractions during a commercial vehicle safety crackdown last week.
On Friday, officers from Williams Lake and 100 Mile House set up a number of commercial check stops along Highway 97.
While the majority of vehicles were in acceptable condition, officers did hand out several safety infractions, some which needed to be addressed immediately.
Officers were forced to remove one truck from the road entirely due to a myriad of mechanical issues.
But, police say that the minimal number of major safety concerns observed is a testament to the professionalism of most commercial drivers.
