With a lot of river flows leveling out in recent days, most flood-related advisories and alerts in the Northwest have been called off.
Terrace’s local state of emergency that was in place solely to facilitate the repairs of Frank Street expired back at midnight earlier today.
The evacuation alerts that covered the regional districts of Bulkley-Nechako and Kitimat-Stikine as well as a state of emergency covering area “C” have been lifted as well.
Most river flows in the Skeena and Bulkley rivers are expected to stay calm through tomorrow.
However, one northern flood warning that covers the Liard river and its tributaries near Fort Nelson and Watson Lake does remain in place.
And 20 year flood levels in the Skeena and 10 year in the Bulkley have been forecast to start on Friday.
Flood watches are also in place for the north and south Thompson regions, the Shuswap area and for sections of the Quesnel River east of Williams Lake.
