The City of Williams Lake will activate its Emergency Operations Centre effective 8:30 a.m. Tuesday Mar. 24.
This is a proactive measure to ensure there are appropriate resources and a coordinated local plan to support the province of B.C.
With this in mind, the City has decided to further reduced its staffing level as a safety precaution following the recommendation of the Provincial Health Officer, has encouraged all available staff to work remotely where possible and has made operational changes to ensure adequate social distancing.
With the activation of the centre there will be a designated phone line to call with medical questions, the number is 250-392-2364.
